This FAQ will walk users through how to adjust their membership levels. You will learn how to use our website navigation to find self-service options for account renewal and upgrading. For information on our price increases for 2021, please take a look at this article first.

An Important Note About Renewing Accounts
Accounts are renewed from the date of expiration rather than the date of renewal. Since there is a cost to storing student reports and libraries of inactive accounts, this policy helps us ensure low prices for everyone. For more information, please refer to paragraph C.2. of our Terms of Service.
This applies to accounts that have not yet expired as well! You can renew your account at any time without the worry of losing the remaining months of your current membership. For example, if your membership's expiration date is 9/1/21, you can pay for a renewal on 6/1/21 and your new expiration date will still be 9/1/22.
Finding Your Membership Level and Expiration
To see your current membership level, sign into your Teacher account. Then, click on the menu in the upper right corner.
Click on "My Settings".
Next, click on your Membership tab.
In the Membership Information box, the colored text after "Membership Level" will indicate which membership type you have on your account. The smaller text below that will show your student, classroom, and publishing limits. The expiration date of your subscription is listed after the colored "Renew or Upgrade" text.
In the below example, this account has an Ultimate membership that will expire on 10/17/2021.
Renewing or Upgrading Your Membership
Clicking on the colored text in the above example will bring you to our Membership Plans page. You can also view our Membership Plans page here.
Beneath your current membership level, you will see a button that says "Renew". Any membership levels below your current plan will show a "Downgrade" button. If you have a Starter account, the buttons will simply show "Choose" like in the below screenshot. Click on one of the buttons to select your desired membership level and proceed with your purchase.
If you have not already added your address to your Boom account, you will first be asked to provide your address for billing purposes.
After confirming your address, a pop-up will appear to confirm your selection and purchase total (including tax, if applicable). Click on the PayPal button to pay using your PayPal account, or click on the Card button to use a credit/debit card.
If using PayPal, you will be redirected to PayPal's website to complete the purchase.
If you are paying with a card, you will be asked to enter your card information. This will save your card on your Boom account as a payment method; you can always remove it from your Account Settings. Card purchases are processed through the secure payment platform, Stripe.
When your payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation on-screen as well as an email with your receipt. You can also view the record of your transaction in your Account Statement.
Renewing for Multiple Years
To thank our customers, we are offering the option to renew/upgrade your account for up to 3 years at the current membership price. You will be able to lock-in the best prices before the price adjustments take effect in October 2021.
To renew your account for multiple years, please follow the instructions outlined in the above "Renewing or Upgrading Your Membership" section. You will need to click on the "Renew" button and process your renewal payment three separate times in order to take full advantage of this awesome opportunity. This option will be available only up until the price increase is introduced in October 2021.
